A F/A-18D Hornet with the Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA(AW))- 242, taxiis on the flightline Sept. 18, 2016 on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, during Exercise Valiant Shield 2016. VMFA(AW)-242’s mission is to support the Marine Air-Ground Task Force commander by providing supporting arms coordination, conducting reconnaissance, and destroying surface targets and enemy aircraft day or night under all weather conditions during expeditionary, joint, or combined operations.
