U.S. Marine Corps pilots with Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 242 fires up the engines of an F/A-18D Hornet for a flight during Exercise Valiant Shield 16 at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Sept. 14, 2016. The aircraft was cleared for takeoff after the preflight checks were conducted by the plane captain and pilots.
