Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike), center, transits in formation with the French guided-missile frigate FS La Fayette (F 710), front, the guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto (CG 56), right, and the guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61). Ike, Monterey and San Jacinto are part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group and deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
