Robinson, a Naco, Arizona, native serving as a preventative medicine specialist, MEDDAC-J, secure a Japanese citizen roleplaying as a severely wounded bystander during Shizuoka Prefecture’s annual Comprehensive Disaster Drill in Kakegawa, Japan, Sep. 4, 2016. Moore, Robinson and 10 fellow U.S. Army Soldiers participated in this drill that demonstrated how a diverse collection of local, regional, national and international organizations can pool their respective resources to effectively respond to a major disaster. In addition to casualty care and evacuation, the contingent of U.S. Army troops collaborated with their Japan Ground Self-Defense Force counterparts to coordinate convoy routes, establish mobile communication sites and set up supply distribution points.
