160902-N-FO981-009 SAN PEDRO, California (Sept. 2, 2016) – Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Runsiya Richards, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) and Seattle native, brings residents of Los Angeles County down the pier for a ship tour during the inaugural Los Angeles Fleet Week. Fleet week offers the public an opportunity to tour ships, meet Sailors, Marines, and members of the Coast Guard and gain a better understanding of how the sea services support the national defense of the United States and freedom of the seas.
