U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Kevin Sassaman, 461st Air Control Wing (ACW), receives a challenge coin from Maj. Gen. Scott Zobrist, commander, 9th Air Force, for voluntarily constructing a platform for a static CH-47 Chinook gunner for display at Heritage Hall at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., Aug. 25, 2016. Zobrist visited Team JSTARS to gain firsthand knowledge of how the Air Force’s only E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System platform performs manned intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, command and control and battle management operations. The Joint STARS mission is accomplished by the Air National Guard’s 116th ACW, Air Force active duty 461st ACW, and Army JSTARS working together. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt.
