160827-N-MW990-092 PACIFIC OCEAN (August 27, 2016) Information Systems Technician 2nd Class Steven Arndt secures an 11-meter rigid-hulled inflatable boat after conducting twin-boom extendible crane operations aboard littoral combat ship USS Coronado (LCS 4). Coronado departed its homeport of San Diego on an independent deployment to the Western Pacific, June 22 and is currently operating in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. U.S. 3rd Fleet leads naval forces in the Pacific and provides the realistic, relevant training necessary for an effective global Navy.
