The President of the 2017 Tournament of Roses Parade, Mr. Brad Ratliff, experienced firsthand access of a C-5 M Super Galaxy static display, Travis AFB, Calif., Aug. 12, 2016. Ratliff explored the flight deck, cargo hold, passenger deck, and various other features of the U.S. Air Forces largest aircraft during the guided tour. Mr. Ratliff was at Travis to present the Tournament of Roses flag to the U. S. Air Force Band of the Golden West. The U. S. Air Force Band of the Golden West is one of only two military units marching in the 128th Tournament of Roses Parade. The tour also included a static display of the 621st Contingency Response Wing “line of fire” demonstration, a C-5 M simulator experience, and a visit to the Control Tower.
