A "Spur Holder" with 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, encourages a "Spur Candidate" as he crawls under a barbed wire obstacle during the 1/73 Spur Ride, May 12. The spur ride is an annual event that tests the motivation of each candidate, and gives them the opportunity to earn spurs and Stetson hats of their own.
