Iraqi policemen conduct the combat life-saver portion of their examinations during the field training exercise phase of the operator assessment course on Camp Morehead, located on Contingency Operating Base Adder, Iraq, May 13. The operator assessment course, which was taught by a Navy river patrol detachment, Riverine Troop 4, was designed to evaluate a group of about 30 Iraqi policemen in a variety of areas pertaining to riverine operations in order to determine which policemen should be selected to attend the operator trainer course held in Basra, Iraq. The six-week-long operator trainer course will sharpen the skills of the policeman in the areas of boat handling, seamanship, patrolling, and suspect apprehension.
