EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. (Aug. 17, 2016) Photos of NASA employees moving the disassembled Phantom Eye, a Boeing-developed, liquid hydrogen-powered demonstrator aircraft, during a transfer from the NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center across Rogers Dry Lake to the red-topped Hanger 4305 on North Base, where the aircraft will await reassembly and refurbishment for eventual display as part of the Air Force Flight Test Museum. Phantom Eye was designed to fly long endurance missions at high altitudes as a potential surrogate for military intelligence and communications satellites. Smoke from the Blue Cut Fire can be seen in the background of some images. (U.S. Air Force photo by Christopher Okula)
