A Paratrooper with 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, completes a stress shoot during the 1/73 Spur Ride May 12. After finishing an obstacle course, the soldiers ran from one cover to another, trying to hit as many of the 30 targets as they could with the fastest time. The spur ride is an annual event that tests the motivation of each candidate, and gives them the opportunity to earn spurs and Stetson hats of their own.
