Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein visited Israel and his counterparts at the Israeli Air Force, August 15-17 2016. Gen. Goldfein was received by a full honor guard at the IAF headquarters in Tel Aviv, accompanied by IAF Commander Maj. Gen Amir Eshel. During his visit to the country, Gen. Goldfein also toured two IAF bases accompanied by Gen Eshel and commander of Israel's Air Defense Brig. Gen Zvika Haimovitch. He concluded his visit by paying respects to fallen IAF soldiers at the IAF Memorial in the Jerusalem hills.
