MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII – Service members stand in formation as Lt. Col. Eric Purcell, the commanding officer of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463, and a New Milford, Conn., native, speaks during a ceremony held by Marine Aircraft Group 24 on Aug. 12, 2016, inside Hangar 102 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay. Representatives from the Great Aloha Run visited the base in order to donate $10,000, which was divided between two military charities, the Semper Fi Fund and the Wingman Foundation. The Great Aloha Run, which raises approximately $400,000 annually, supports local charities and military organizations, and this year’s run was dedicated to the 12 service members HMH-463 lost in January’s training incident.
