CAMP HANSEN, Okinawa, Japan (Aug. 15, 2016) - Vehicles belonging to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit sit staged and ready for embarkation aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6), at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 15, 2016. The Bonhomme Richard, also referred to as the BHR, can carry all varieties of Marine Corps vehicles, as well as landing craft, helicopters, tiltrotor aircraft, and fixed-wing attack jets.
The Marines and Sailors of the 31st MEU are making final preparations before embarking as part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group.
