160814-N-EC099-177 BREMERTON, Wash. (Aug. 14, 2016) – Spouses and children wait eagerly for their spouses and parents stationed aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) to disembark the ship on the pier of Naval Base Kitsap – Bremerton. Providing a ready force supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific, Stennis is returning from a regularly scheduled 7th Fleet deployment as part of the Great Green Fleet and Rim of the Pacific 2016, which included 26 nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel.
