    NATO Training Mission Afghanistan

Brig. Gen. Dadon Lawang, special forces brigade commander, speaks to an elite group of Afghan National Army commandos who graduated to become the first Afghan Special Forces during a ceremony at Camp Morehead May 13, 2010. The special forces soldiers completed a 10-week training course, led by U.S. Army Special Forces, or Green Berets, in addition to their 12-week commando training. The U.S. and new Afghan special forces will live and work in remote villages to aid communication between village elders and district leaders and help build long-term stability.
