Steve Alexander, area manager for Cemex and Bart White, construction foreman for Teichert erect the flag prior to the Peabody road reopening ceremony. The ceremony signifies the completion of a $78 million dollar project; the road was closed for fourteen months and finished ten days ahead of schedule. Peabody road is a major thoroughfare that connects the cities of Vacaville and Fairfield, over 20,000 vehicles per day use the road and it is also a major artery into Travis Air Force Base for the over 14,000 employees.
