U.S. Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) and Soldiers from units across U.S. Army Europe receive a briefing before participating in the 2016 European Best Warrior Competition held at the 7th Army Training Command's Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Aug. 7, 2016. The intense, grueling annual week-long competition is the most prestigious competitive event of the region. Event organizers will announce the year's top junior officer, noncommissioned officer and Soldier during a concluding ceremony scheduled for Aug. 11 at the Grafenwoehr Physical Fitness Center.
