160803-N-DH124-003 DILI, Timor-Leste (Aug. 3, 2016) - U.S. Marines assigned to Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team Pacific (FASTPAC), show how to perform basic lifesaving skills such as opening an airway to Forsa Defesa Timor Leste (F-FDTL) service members during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Timor-Leste 2016. The focus of CARAT is developing maritime security capabilities and increasing interoperability among participants. Skill areas exercised during CARAT include Maritime Interdiction Operations; riverine, amphibious and undersea warfare operations; diving and salvage operations; naval gunnery and maneuvering events, along with disaster response exercises.
