Crew members assigned to the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Alabama (SSBN 731) demonstrate the proper Navy sit-up during a SEAL Fitness Challenge at the Birmingham YMCA. The performance is part of Birmingham Navy Week, one of 20 Navy Weeks planned across America in 2010. Navy Weeks are designed to show Americans the investment they have made in their Navy and increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant Navy presence.
