EVERETT, Wash. (Aug. 2, 2016) – Cmdr. William Sherrod, executive officer of amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25), greets local Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) cadets, Sea Cadets and Boys Scouts in the ship’s hangar deck during a ship ride from Everett to Seattle as part of Seattle Seafair Fleet Week. Seafair is an annual celebration of the sea services wherein Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen from visiting U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ships, and ships from Canada make the city a port of call.
