160801-N-DH124-176 DILI, Timor-Leste (Aug. 1, 2016) - U.S. Navy Lt. Michael Krestos, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, teaches operational planning to Forsa Defesa Timor-Leste (F-FDTL) service members during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Timor-Leste 2016. The focus of CARAT is developing maritime security capabilities and increasing interoperability among participants. Skill areas exercised during CARAT include Maritime Interdiction Operations; riverine, amphibious and undersea warfare operations; diving and salvage operations; naval gunnery and maneuvering events, along with disaster response exercises.
