    160729-N-SS432-107 BARKING SANDS, Hawaii (July 29, 2016) -- A Malaysian marine crouches low in the woods securing the area on Pacific Missile Range Facility during a joint exercise with three other countries (United States, South Korea, and Australia) as part of Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2016. Twenty-six nations, 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel participating in RIMPAC from June 30 to Aug. 4, in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. RIMPAC is the largest international maritime exercise that provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationship that is critical in ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans.
