U.S. Marines, with Task Force Koa Moana, and Fijian Soldiers collect coconuts during survival training, July 15, 2016, at Ovalau, Fiji, as part of a multi-national, bilateral exercise. During the training the service members were separated from their platoons with bare minimum gear and had to find food and water for more than 24 hours. During the exercise they conducted patrol base operation, jungle survival and live-fire range training to increase interoperability and relations. The Marines with Task Force Koa Moana are originally assigned to I and III Marine Expeditionary Force. The Soldiers are with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Fiji Infantry Regiment.
