Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead answers questions from Sailors and their families at Naval Support Activity Mid-South in Millington, Tenn. Roughead is in Millington to get a first-hand look at damage sustained from flooding, May 1 and 2, and to hear directly from Navy personnel and their families who were displaced by the floodwaters. Two days of rain dumped more than 14 inches in the area, causing a levee to become overrun, flooding the base and surrounding community. The base is closed to all but mission-essential employees until further notice. Naval Support Activity Mid-South hosts several commands, including Navy Personnel Command and Commander, Navy Recruiting Command.
