    160721-M-TM809-403 DA NANG, Vietnam (July 21, 2016) U.S. Navy Constructionman 2nd Class Falcon Allaire, from Las Cruces, New Mexico, assigned to hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19), and Japanese Self-Defense Force Sgt. 1st Class Shinya Furuyama, a Japanese engineer assigned to JS Shimokita (LST-4002), assist in cement mixing at Hoa Phu Primary School during Pacific Partnership 2016. U.S. Navy Seabees, Marines and Japanese Self-Defense Force engineers are working together to renovate the interior and exterior of the school. During Pacific Partnership, partner nations work side-by-side with local organizations to conduct cooperative health engagements, engineering capability projects, community relation events and subject matter expert exchanges to better prepare for natural disaster or crisis.
