U.S. Air Force1st Lt. Cale Simmons celebrates making the U.S. Olympic pole vault team on uly 4. The U.S. Olympic Team Track and Field Trials were held July 1-10 in Eugene, Oregon. Simmons finished second with a jump of 5.65 meters, or 18-feet, 6 1/2 inches, to claim his spot on the U.S. Olympic pole vault team. (Courtesy Tom "Drac" Williams/released)
