McGill, both with 39th Signal Battalion setup an internet router at the Belgian field site and link up to the Belgian Army satellite terminal to get baseband voice and data via a Virtual Private Network to Wiesbaden Gateway. Saint Hubert, Belgium, June 28, 2016. The 39th Signal Battalion based out of Chièvres Belgium has developed a lasting partnership with the Belgian Army 6th Group CIS (Communication and Information Systems) by conducting combined training and communication exercises. Both units have been working together and exploring technical challenges surrounding interoperability with the hope of integrating military communication systems.
