Servicemembers assigned to the Special Operations Command South stay focused as they prepare to jump out of a C-130 aircraft during an airborne operation April 22 at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla. The training allows airborne-qualified personnel to maintain current airborne proficiency and mission readiness in response to any contingency response force in the command's area of focus, which spans from the Caribbean, Central and South America. SOCSOUTH plans and provides the primary theater contingency response force as well as conducts special operations across the Caribbean, Central and South American region.
