INDIAN OCEAN (July 24, 2016) Capt. Michael S. Ruth, commanding officer of the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), announces the 19 Boxer Sailors selected for promotion through the Meritorious Advancement Program in the hangar bay during an all hands call. Boxer, the flagship for the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
