USS SOMERSET, at sea – Marines and sailors board a rigid-hulled inflatable boat during a visit, board, search, and seizure training mission as part of the Amphibious Squadron - Marine Expeditionary Unit Integration (PMINT) July 15, 2016. PMINT is a two week training evolution between the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and 11th MEU, allowing Marines and sailors to combine and employ their forces together operationally, for their first at-sea period in preparation for their Western Pacific 16-2 deployment later this year. The Marines are with the Maritime Raid Force, 11th MEU and the sailors are with the USS Somerset’s VBSS Ship Control Team. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Lance Cpl. Zachery C. Laning)
