160721-N-NF288-136 SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 21, 2016) Boat crew Sailors hold ropes as a safety measure while the rigid hull inflatable boat is lowered into the water from the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The boat crew applies their body weight onto ropes as a safety precaution in case the boat falls. Ronald Reagan, the Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) flagship, is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
