160713-M-PQ336-001 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 13, 2016) — U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Will Ross, middle, and Lance Cpl. Andrew Bongiovanni, right, board a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter July 13, 2016. The Marines, with 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, are participating in Rim of the Pacific 2016, a multinational military exercise, from June 29 to Aug. 8 in and around the Hawaiian Islands. The battalion supports III Marine Expeditionary Force, which continually deploys forces to training locations around the world as the Marine Corps' only MEF headquartered outside the continental United States.
