U.S. Marines and Soldiers with the Republic of Fiji Military Forces join after jungle survival training, July 11, 2016, at Ovalau, Fiji, as part of a multi-national, bilateral exercise. During the training the Fijians showed the Marines how to collect water, find food, and create shelter and a proper bamboo raft. Throughout the exercise they will conduct patrol base operation training, jungle survival training and live fire ranges to increase interoperability and relations. The Marines are with Task Force Koa Moana, and are originally assigned to 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
