Recruits from Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, begin a three-mile run during an inventory physical fitness test at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, July 11. There are three parts to the test: pull-ups, a three-mile run and crunches. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Hotel Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 5.
