160711-N-UD666-099 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 11, 2016) Aviation Machinist’s Mate Airman Janeih Bain, assigned to the “Blue Hawks” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 78, performs maintenance on the rotor hub of an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter on the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) flight deck. Carl Vinson is currently underway with embarked Carrier Air Wing 2 and Destroyer Squadron 1 conducting the Tailored Ship's Training Availability (TSTA) and Final Evaluation Problem in preparation for their upcoming deployment. During TSTA, Afloat Training Group Pacific evaluates training drills and real-world scenarios, while placing an emphasis on damage control, flight deck operations and simulated combat.
