Seaman Amanda Jones, a boatswain's mate from Greenville, N.C., stands forward lookout watch aboard the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock-landing ship USS Gunston Hall during a maneuvering exercise with the Spanish Navy Servola-class offshore patrol vessel (P 72) SPS Centinela as part of the Africa Partnership Station West initiative. Gunston Hall is on a scheduled deployment in West and Central Africa in support of APS, an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe - Africa that aims to improve maritime safety and security in Africa.
