DILI, Timor Leste (June 9, 2016) - After raising the flag and ceremonial speeches, Builder 2nd Class Meghan Cathcart from Haida Gwaii, Canada, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, and a Timorese F-FDTL military engineer assisted schoolhouse officials with passing out awards to students at the Manleuana Primary School during the Independence Day ceremony. NMCB 4 and Timorses military engineers joined the primary school in celebrating East Timor’s independence, which formally took place in 2002.
