Leadership from the 344th Psychological Operations, Detachment 9, known as the "Black Knights," and the 308th Psyops, Detachment 7, known as the "Bridge Builders," display their Yellow Banners at Army Support Activity-Dix's Infantry Park April 12. Capt. Patrick Murphy, from Denver, and Staff Sgt. David Chabot, who resides in Littleton, Colo., are from the 344th Psyops, Det. 9, an Army Reserve unit from Austin, Texas. Maj. Deon Considine, from Dixon, Ill., and Cpl. Ed Aldana, a resident of San Francisco, are part of the 308th Psyops, Det. 7, an Army Reserve unit from Belton, Mo. Each will deploy to Afghanistan to conduct psychological operations missions. The Yellow Banner is given to military units that mobilize through ASA-Dix and the banner is hung in Infantry Park as a symbolic reminder that the servicemembers are in the thoughts and well-wishes of the ASA-Dix community. When the organization comes back from combat the banner is returned to the respective unit.
