Rhode Island Army National Guard Soldiers from the 861st Engineer Company stayed in West Virginia after their annual training to assist in flood clean-up efforts. The historic flood, being referred to as a "thousand year flood," ravaged many areas of West Virginia including the small town of Ranielle in Greenbrier County.
