Senior Airman Matthew Platz, 374th Maintenance Squadron aerospace ground equipment journeyman, paints the Wing’s mikoshi at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Feb. 24, 2016. Airmen with the 374th MXS and 374th Maintenance Group worked over 150 hours to sand, strip, paint, and treat the wooden surfaces as well as trimming, shaping, and fitting over 10 square meters of brass to replace the ornate work over the course of one month.
