Curry is one of five Mobile Training Team instructors assigned to the Security Force Assistance Detachment of the Maritime Civil Affairs and Security Assistance Training Command, currently embarked aboard the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock-landing ship, the platform for Africa Partnership Station West. Gunston Hall is on a scheduled deployment in West Africa in support of APS West, an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa that aims to improve maritime safety and security in West and Central Africa.
