FORT HOOD, Texas-- Gen. Frank Grass, Chief, National Guard Bureau, presented the CNGB coin of excellence to Spc. Micah Piker of the Arkansas National Guard's 77th Combat Aviation Brigade for his quick action during a recent fishing tournament. According to Piker, he was participating in a March 2016 hometown fishing tournament when he observed an elderly gentleman in an over turned boat. Piker gave aid including administering CPR. Grass visited First Army Division West June 18 to get a first hand look at how National Guard Soldiers prepare for deployments in support of contingency operations. As part of his visit, Grass visited with Soldiers assigned to numerous states to include the Arkansas Army National Guard's 77th Combat Aviation Brigade.
