160615-N-UB927-088 ARABIAN GULF (June 15, 2016) Ensign Benjamin Hagan teaches midshipmen about Deck department operations aboard amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) as part of the 2016 Midshipman Training Program. Midshipmen from the U.S. Naval Academy and the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) are aboard Boxer for a summer training cruise to learn more about the Navy and their future careers. Boxer is the flagship for the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
