Pfc. Derek Miller, a combat medic assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 41st Field Artillery, 1st Advise and Assist Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, reveals realistic props of wounds and injuries to be used for a combat lifesaver exercise March 31. The artificial wounds actually pump blood, forcing the medic in training to use proper procedures to stop the bleeding.
