FORT HOOD, TEXAS – A task force of Dutch Soldiers with the 302nd Royal Netherlands Aviation Squadron trekked across rugged terrain and through an ever-changing climate during training exercises held mid-May at Fort Hood, Texas. The Dutch Soldiers were given a plethora of different missions to accomplish throughout the exercise including establishing a command post, conducting night operations, providing fire support, evacuating casualties, and interacting with the local populace in helping solve local issues.The exercise consisted of primarily Dutch forces however U.S. Soldiers and civilians provided support and aided in the role-play of opposing forces to make the event more realistic
