Kentucky National Guard Public Affairs Office

Kentucky National Guard Cadet Andrew Norfleet, a University of Kentucky ROTC student assigned to the 299th Chemical Company, sends a radio report of number of ambulatory and non-ambulatory casualties checked in to the Casualty Collection Point (CCP) June 8, 2016. Assigned as the CCP Team leader, Norfleet was responsible for directing patients into decontamination tents for medical assistance during the Cascadia Rising exercise, at Camp Rilea, Oregon. Cascadia Rising simulates a 9.0-magnitude earthquake along the Cascadia Subduction Zone, which tests the Oregon and Kentucky National Guard’s CBRNE Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP) ability to work alongside local, state and federal first responders and public safety officials during a disaster response effort.
