Col. Cheryl Anderson (right), chief of staff, 184th Sustainment Command, headquartered at Laurel, Miss., briefs Maj. Gen. Elizabeth Austin (left), assistant deputy commanding general, Army National Guard, Army Material Command, on the logistics employed to move more than 3,000 Soldiers of the Mississippi National Guard from their home state to Fort Hood, Texas, and sustain them during the weeks of the Multi-echelon Integrated Brigade Training exercise currently underway. Col. Jeffrey Van (center), 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team commander, also briefed Anderson on his unit’s experience so far in the exercise. The 184th SC is supporting the 155th ABCT and other units of the MSNG, active Army, and U.S. Army Reserve during the MiBT. Collectively, approximately 4,500 Army and Air personnel are participating in the joint exercise. The MiBT is a multicomponent training event that sustains readiness of reserve and active components and helps prepare the 155th ABCT for a trip to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Calif., in 2017.
