Girrier, Commander, Carrier Strike Group 11, and the Senior leadership of aircraft carrier USS Nimitz disembark the ship prior to a press conference on the pier after pulling into homeport at Naval Base Coronado. Nimitz and embarked Carrier Air Wing 11 returned to homeport after an eight month deployment to the Arabian Sea in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
